InductiveHealth, the leading provider of disease and syndromic surveillance systems and services throughout the United States, is proud to announce it has acquired Envision Technology Partners, the leading developer and provider of modern immunization information systems and services. Together, the companies partner with and provide services to public health departments in over 40 states.
By integrating Envision’s immunization information system with InductiveHealth’s expertise in disease and syndromic surveillance technology, the company can now empower federal, state and local public health teams with a new platform and technology partnership that streamlines and enhances interoperability between applications.
Currently, public health departments are too often forced to rely on disparate applications and siloed datasets that make it cumbersome and costly to monitor and analyze infection rates, emergency department (ED) visits, hospitalization trends, and patient data, including immunization rates. Today, it simply takes much longer than it should to not just predict potential outbreaks, but to identify and act on current outbreaks of disease. This is an issue and long-standing concern directly addressed by the InductiveHealth and Envision integration.
“By bringing together the technologies, public health experts, and datasets from InductiveHealth and Envision Technology Providers, we will offer the public health market new levels of system integration and interoperability, a more streamlined way to purchase and implement critical systems, and a way to maximize federal and state funding to get the tools public health agencies need,” said Eric Whitworth, CEO of InductiveHealth. “Essentially, this acquisition provides public health agencies and departments with a clearer path to data modernization and scalability across various use cases through a single set of integrated solutions.”
Envision co-founders, Steve and Claire Murchie, will stay involved with the combined business. “When considering what was next for Envision, we knew we were looking for a home for our colleagues and clients that shared our vision and belief in client service and company culture, while also having a deep understanding of the public health market and a commitment to leverage Envision’s people and technology in a positive way,” said Claire Murchie.
